What MarketGuard helps with

MarketGuard watches your Shopify Markets setup and tells you when a product is missing from a Market you expect it in, when a regional price moves past a threshold you set, when a price cannot be resolved at all, or when a product can be presented in a currency you did not intend.

Monitoring reports what changed and points at the Shopify setting that controls it. Currency Guard also offers a confirmed protected purchase setup for non-shippable products using a configured Shopify Market and checkout rule.

Common questions

See the full FAQ, setup tutorial, or product documentation.

A product shows “Couldn’t verify”

MarketGuard could not get complete evidence from Shopify for that check, so it did not guess. The product detail page names the specific reason — a deleted product, an unavailable contextual price, incomplete Market data, a partial scan or a Shopify API error — and the next scheduled verification retries it. Unverified is never counted as ready.

A product is reported missing from a Market on purpose

MarketGuard cannot tell a deliberate regional catalogue from a mistake. Select the finding on the Findings page and choose “Mark as intentional”, which records a Market policy so MarketGuard stops expecting that product there. Nothing in Shopify changes.

Verification seems slow

Verification time varies with catalog size, number of Markets and Shopify API availability. Higher plans verify more products at once, reconcile more often, and are processed ahead of lower plans.

Products show as “Not monitored”

Your plan monitors a set number of products. Anything beyond that limit is not monitored and is deliberately never reported as healthy, because MarketGuard has not checked it.

Alerts are not arriving

Check the Notifications page: the channel must be connected, the recipient added, and the alert type enabled. The delivery history there shows whether a message was sent and any error the provider returned.

A scan appears stuck

A verification whose worker stopped is reported as stalled rather than left spinning, and is picked up again automatically. You can also start a new verification from the home page.

Reporting a problem

If something looks wrong, the most useful details are your shop domain, the product and Market involved, what you expected, and what MarketGuard showed. Screenshots of the finding help.
