Monitoring model

MarketGuard verifies selected product and Market pairs against Shopify’s current availability, contextual price and currency evidence. Webhooks trigger targeted checks where supported, while full reconciliation finds drift that individual events may miss.

Merchant screens

Home summarizes coverage and urgent work. Markets controls regional monitoring. Products shows monitored coverage. Findings contains actionable current issues. Changes records meaningful transitions. Scan history explains verification progress and failures.

Status definitions

• Ready: current evidence matches the configured expectation.
• Warning: a condition needs review but is not classified as critical.
• Critical: a high-impact configured expectation is not met.
• Couldn’t verify: evidence was incomplete, unavailable or failed.
• Not monitored: the item is outside the selected scope or plan limit.

Finding lifecycle

An unchanged problem updates its existing finding rather than creating duplicates. A recovered condition resolves the finding. If it later returns, MarketGuard reopens it. An intentionally missing product can be recorded as an exclusion without changing Shopify.

Currency Guard

Currency Guard is intended for digital, service and other non-shippable products that must be purchased alone in a selected currency. Its confirmed setup can set fixed prices for that product in one Market, mark its variants non-shippable, and maintain one checkout validation that blocks a mixed cart or wrong checkout currency. The storefront block must be enabled for its protected purchase path.

Notifications

Availability depends on plan entitlement and a verified merchant-supplied provider connection. A channel also requires a saved recipient and enabled alert type. MarketGuard records delivery outcomes without exposing saved credentials.

Permissions and data

The privacy policy lists each Shopify permission and its purpose. MarketGuard does not request customer or order access for monitoring.
